Up for auction is a 2009 56cm Specialized S Works Tarmac SL2 in QuickStep colors with Team Geometry (you can get specifics from the Specialized website). Love Specialized, love Zipps, love Dura Ace but can't really justify having two steeds in the garage (not including my Dodge Viper, that is) and since I've plunked down so much to build up my Pinarello Prince I'm going to let the Tarmac go. Started with a foundation of a Dura Ace 7800 group but then upgraded the front and rear derailleurs to Dura Ace 7900 and replaced the Dura Ace cups/bearings with CeramicSpeed ceramic bearings. Since training on Zipp 303 carbon tubular wheels will shorten their life, I'm also including some training wheels- Mavic Cosmic Elite clinchers with vittoria Open Corsa EVO CX tires 320 TPI ($600 cost) and Mavic skewers. I'm also including Sett'e wheelbags for storage or traveling with your Zipps. (I've got my Campy bags)
This bike is super clean and I'd say it's a 9.5 out of 10. The CeramicSpeed bottom bracket is brand new. The Zipp 303s have less than 200 miles. The rest of the groupset has maybe 500 miles. The training wheels have less. There is a slight scrape from my stucco house on the right shifter, shown in the picture. There is also some slight cable rub and small rock chip (underside, not noticeable). I will accept returns; I'm certain you will be thrilled with it.
So a rundown of the bike:
